Workshop on Environmental Hazards of Electronic Waste under the ‘Digital India Initiative’

 The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in partnership with NASSCOM Foundation, MAIT & CEAMA has embarked upon an Awareness Programme on Environmental Hazards of Electronic Waste under the ‘Digital India Initiative’.

 The campaign aims to enhance awareness amongst stakeholders involved in e-waste management in 10 urban areas thereby, encouraging environmentally sound recycling through collective effort of all relevant stakeholders in the e-waste value chain. The 10 cities are Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Imphal, Indore, Kolkata, Moradabad, Panjim, Patna, Pondicherry and Ranchi.

 In this connection a ‘Workshop on Environmental Hazards of Electronic Waste’ is organizing by  Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) in association with ENVIRON in the Auditorium  of IIE, Lalmati, Guwahati-29   on 12th June, 2017 at 03PM.

 All are invited to attend the workshop which will be inaugurated by Sri Manoj Kr. Das, Director, IIE followed by a technical session where prominent environmentalist from different organization including Dr. Shantanu Dutta from Central Pollution Control Board, Shillong will interact.
