IIE & NCFSE join hands to Provide quality Training in the field of Fire & Safety
Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with National Council of Fire & Safety Engineering (NCFSE) on 25 June, 2016 at Delhi. The MOU is signed by Mr. Santhosh M. Sudhan, Director Operations NCFSE and Mr. Manoj K. Das, Director of IIE.
The MOU was signed to intensify the effort in creating the skilled manpower in fire & safety segment through routine theoretical Classes & Advanced practical training. The programme will benefit the student community and unemployed aspirants and will thrive to fill jobs in this enticing field.
NCFSE is an ISO 9001-2015 certified Organisation registered under Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001 engaged in fire and safety management with an objective to provide quality hands on training & Placement services in the field of Fire and Safety.
This MOU, Collaboration & Joint Certification will provide the students and unemployed youth a viable career building opportunity in the field of Fire & Safety, henceforth fulfilling the Vision of NCFSE & IIE simultaneously. There is enough scope for such training in OIL, ONGC, NRL, BRPL, Gas Cracker etc.
IIE Signs MOU with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)
Guwahati, July 23: A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) for partnership in the North Eastern Region to expand the skilling activities under Pradhan Manrti Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). The MOU was signed to achieve a common understanding to jointly collaborate to further the skilling activities in the North East in general and Assam in particular, and achieve the targets and objectives of PMKVY with its special focus on the interests and demands of the North East.
The MOU was signed by Shri Manoj K Das, Director of IIE and Shri Dilip Harel Mitra Chenoy, CEO and Managing Director of NSDC .
IIE, is focusing on small and micro enterprises development and entrepreneurship development by undertaking the training, research and consultancy activities. It also promotes skill linked micro entrepreneurs.
NSDC as part of National Skill Development mission fulfils the growing need in India for skilled manpower across sectors and thrives to close the gap between the demand and supply of skilled workforce. It develops appropriate models to enhance, support and coordinate private sector skilling initiatives.
Through this MOU, IIE and NSDC will work jointly to plan and partner to achieve the targets and objectives under Pradhan Manrti Kaushal Vikas Yojana( PMKVY) keeping the special interests of the North East in mind.
Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) among Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) and National Centre for Design and Product Development (NCDPD)
New Delhi, July 16: A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed among Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) and National Centre for Design and Product Development (NCDPD) at New Delhi on 16th July, 2015. The MoA was signed to achieve a common objective of capacity enhancement of handicraft exporters/manufacturers/artisans in North Eastern Region and to provide design inputs and marketing opportunities to entrepreneurs in the handicrafts sector
The MoA was signed by Shri Manoj K Das, Director of IIE, Shri Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director, EPCH and Shri R.K. Shrivastava, Executive Director, NCDPD.

Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) is an apex organization of trade and industry engaged in the promotion of Indian Handicrafts from country and project India’s image abroad as a reliable supplier of high quality handicrafts items.
NCDPD is an apex organization for design and product development and is fulfil the gaps in the handicraft sector of soft and hard goods in the areas of Design / Product Development and Technology.Through this MoA IIE, EPCH and NCDPD will work jointly and pool their resources for betterment of handicraft exporters/manufacturers/artisans in North Eastern Region. ECPH and NCDPD will place their personnel at IIE’s disposal for taking the collaboration forward. This will bring in huge expertise in this field where 6 million people are earning their livelihood in the country.
Guwahati, July 8- The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) has signed a Letter of Cooperation (LOC) with Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST) at IIE campus . The LOC is for supporting young entrepreneurs of the state in terms of training, assistance for bank finance and mentoring of the supported business units.
The LOC was signed by Mrs Jina Borthakur , Project Head (BYST) and Manoj K Das, Director of IIE in presence of Mr. A.K Baruah CPCO of IIE and Dr. M. D Hasib, Regional Coordinator of BYST.
BYST is supporting entrepreneurship among youth along with Confederation of Indian Industry with full funding support from Employment Generation Mission (EGM) Govt.of Assam.
Through this LOC IIE will refer prospective entrepreneurs trained under its various programmes to BYST. Also IIE resource persons will be a part of mentoring support for the budding entrepreneurs supported by BYST.

The MOU is signed by Dr. B.D. Tiwari, Director PIE & Executive Director MBDA, Govt. of Meghalaya and Mr. Manoj K. Das, Director of IIE in presence of Achintya Kumar Baruah, Associate Faculty Member & Chief Programme Coordinator, Mr. A.S.S Dewan Asst. Faculty Member and Mr. Prasanta Goswami Asst. Faculty Member of IIE.
The MOU will boost the entrepreneurship skill development landscape of the state of Meghalaya with joint initiative between the two institute said ina a press release here today. Through this MOU collaboration initiative will be undertaken in the field of entrepreneurship development,skill development and overall development in Meghalaya. The MOU is mainly aimed to create entrepreneurial aspirants and awareness among the youths.
The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) entered into an MOU with Gauhati University (GU). The MOU was signed on 27th May 2015 by Dr. Suresh Kumar Nath, Registrar of Gauhati University and Mr. Manoj K Das, Director of Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) in presence of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Mridul Hazarika and representatives from GU viz. Dr. Bhaskar Jyoti Bora, HOD Department of Commerce; Former HOD & Dean Professor, Dr. Nayan Baruah and Dr. Tilak Ch. Das. Other representatives from IIE were Mr. Achintya Kumar Baruah, Associate Faculty Member (Chief Programme Co-ordinator); Mr. Santanu Mohan Deka, Asst. Faculty Member and Mr. Ratul Kr. Das, Project Officer.
The MOU was signed to implement Entrepreneurship Development initiatives, research, training, workshop, seminar, etc. programmes in collaboration with the two premier institutions. The programmes will benefit the student community and entrepreneurial aspirants and will thrive to create entrepreneurial awareness among the youth through change in their mind-set.
Recently IIE has been shifted to the newly created Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India to bring focus into this area of much national importance. Further, it is to be mentioned that Mr. Patrick Suckling, Australian High Commissioner to India has honoured a visit to the Institute on this very date, i.e. 28th of May 2015.
Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Arunachal University of Studies, Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh on 5th March, 2014 at IIE campus, Guwahati, Assam to promote and develop entrepreneurial environment. The MoU is signed by Er. W.Ranjit Singh, Director-In-charge, IIE and Prof. G.N. Pandey, Vice Chancellor, Arunachal University of Studies, Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh. The Arunachal University of Studies is authorised to establish and approve new Skill Knowledge Providers (SKP) for facilitating joint certification with IIE. The programmes would be collaborative in nature where input on entrepreneurship and Skill development, on selected trades, will be provided. The Memorandum of Understanding is signed initially for three years after which it will be further extended with mutual consent.
